Author's POV
Vidya was still settling in Adi's house. However it was not home yet. She was still adjusting with the fact that they knew about her life more than her. She was not against it but she was trying to accept the facts. She was neither crying over her parents nor over her life. She was crying at her destiny.
A partner like Adi is everything a Women needs. Being single all her life is okay...but being alone is not. Earlier Vidya was single not alone. Then she came into a toxic relationship with Shreyansh. Then she was not single but alone. But as soon as her soul met Adi's warmth. She was neither single nor alone.
He never left her to cry and when he did he was truly sorry. Sometimes a person apologizes but are not sorry. But he was. Thinking all this Vidya in a long white frock went towards the garden. She loved nature since childhood. She took the water can and started watering the plants. The air was soft with the scent of wet soil. The sunlight slipped through the branches like golden silk.
She bent down to adjust a rose stem. Suddenly she remembered something. She took a pic of that rose and uploaded in her social media story. And writes :
"Love is the simultaneous infliction of pain and the invasion of the divine fragrance.
And it is entirely your choice which aspect you focus upon : The thorn or the blossom"
~ Roses are blood red
by Novoneel Chakroborty .
She kept her phone aside and she was looking at the rose. She was lost somewhere. She was thinking about her life that were giving too much plots at the same time.
She took the rose that fell into her feet and was looking at it. When someone suddenly took it from her hands and removed the thorns. Before she could see the person— she was pulled into his arms. He tucked the rose at her hairs and secured it with a clip.

It suits you—Adi said while hugging her. He placed a soft kiss on her neck.
Vidya didn't notice him at first. She was too busy in humming the songs or maybe too busy in her thoughts. Adi pulled back and said
" I love the fragrance of our love. I promise I'll hurt myself with the thorns and cherish the fragrance of our love, of your beauty "
She turned around and some blood drops fell on her white frock. She looked down and touched the blood with her fingers. And then she looked up to see Asha. She had a gun in her hand. Before Adi could do anything Asha fired.
The blood drops were a part of her plan. Due to blood drops Vidya became blank. And Adi was too busy in handling Vidya's panic. When she shoots her, someone pulled her—Adi.
Adi's POV
When I was lost in her beauty she noticed the blood on her frock. I know she's always afraid of blood. She thinks blood means death. But when I saw Asha with a gun our brain freezed. And The only thing i could do was to pull her back. I wanted to protect her at any cost. Because it's the only thing we want.
Hearing the gunshots everyone arrived near the garden. I pulled Vidya behind me.
" Stay here. " That's the only word left from my mouth when I heard someone scream.
"ASHA"
A women in her early 30's in a pink saree came towards her. The baby bump was clearly visible and it looks like she was 5-6 months pregnant. Her hair was tied in a bun. Behind her a man in her late 30's followed her. It looks like they were married.
The women came in front of Asha and slapped her.
" ASHA! I can never believe you can do this! "
" YOU BROKE MY TRUST "
And she slapped her again and again. And then she turned to me. Maybe. That's what i thought.
In a very soft tone she called out her name.
" Vidya..Betu..listen to me.."
And when Vidya saw her she couldn't stop crying. She ran to her and started crying. And when Asha tried to separate them Vidya Slapped her. She grabbed her hairs and spoke
" Not this time. I won't let you break me. "
And this time The lady was really happy to see Vidya taking stand for herself.
She turned towards me and said. Maybe you don't know me. Because I married Vidyut 8 years ago. And you started stalking 4 years ago only. So let me introduce myself to you all.
" I am Padma , Vidya— she's my sister ".
Everyone was shocked. Vidya had tears in her eyes, standing frozen in the middle of the garden. Her lips trembled as she looked at her sister, her eyes filling with disbelief and pain. Moments ago, everything had been fine — laughter echoed across the garden. And now, silence had swallowed everything. And now, silence had swallowed everything.
Vidya broke down. Her sobs echoed softly through the garden, her body shaking as she clutched her sister’s hand. “Where were you?” she whispered between her cries, her voice cracking under the weight of emotion.
Vidya's POV
When I saw my sister, my eyes flickered with sparkle. I knew anyone who could protect me after Adi is Padma didi only. She looked at me, her face calm yet filled with concern. The moment she opened her arms, I hugged her tightly, burying my face in her shoulder. All the emotions I had been holding back came rushing out — fear, exhaustion, relief, and love. My tears soaked her saree, and she simply held me, her hands gently stroking my hair the way she used to when I was little.
When she pulled back, I saw the rage burning in her eyes. Her face changed completely — the softness was gone, replaced by anger I had never seen before. She scrunched her eyebrows and turned sharply toward Asha, who was now sitting on the grass, trembling. The garden, which had been silent a moment ago, suddenly felt heavy with tension. The leaves stopped rustling, even the air felt still.
Padma didi walked straight to Asha and facepalmed, her voice shaking with fury.
“Tum jaanti nahi ho didi, isne kya kiya hai!”
( You don't know about her actions didi )
Asha shouted, her voice echoing through the garden.
Before I could even understand what was happening, Padma didi’s hand went up and she slapped Asha hard across the face. The sound of it made me flinch. “Didi, stop!” I cried and ran forward, trying to hold her back, but Adi stepped in between us. He pulled me into his arms firmly, his grip strong but protective.
“Vidya, tum andar chal rahi ho humare sath,”
( Vidya we are going inside, come )
he said in a low, serious voice.
I shook my head, tears in my eyes, trying to protest. “Adi, please, don’t—”
But he didn’t listen. He held my wrist firmly enough not to hurt me and pulled me away from the scene. Before leaving, he threw a gun toward Vidyut. Vidyut caught it easily, his face emotionless, and without saying a word, handed it to Padma didi.
Everything happened so fast — my heart was pounding, my voice caught in my throat. Padma didi’s hands trembled slightly as she took the gun. Her eyes were cold, focused on Asha. And before I could scream or move, she pulled the trigger.
The sound echoed through the garden, louder than thunder. The world seemed to stop in that single moment.
